Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic back in March, your Club has used the Ramblers Association as the benchmark for what we can and can’t do as a walking organisation during the ongoing situation. Their guidance, confirmed with Government, is regularly checked by Members of your Committee and the latest information is then used to determine the way forward for us at any given time. Your Club does this because the Ramblers Association are the national body for the activity that we are involved in, and although we are a fully independent Club, we do have an affiliation with them, we have an official affiliation number, we pay the required affiliation fees and hence as an affiliate, we fall under the Ramblers Association umbrella in terms of walking guidance and Covid authority.
