Please see below a message from the Walk Leader Training Organisers, David Bishop and John Capel.
“Further to our successful 2022 training session at Lyme Park, the club have decided to repeat, focus and extend this training for 2023, with a view to establishing new walk leaders for the club.
The training will be split between classroom sessions and outdoor sessions, at Altrincham Library and Lyme Park respectively. Both sessions will be split between ‘beginner’ and ‘advanced’, so that we can cater more effectively for the range of skills within the club. Both classroom sessions will focus on map reading and walk creation and will be interactive within the time available to us, with the advanced session extending into other relevant walk leading areas.
For those that might be interested, please save the dates for the classroom sessions, the outdoor sessions will follow the classroom sessions during April/May and will be advised later.
Classroom (beginner) – Tuesday 14th March 10.30 – 12.30
Classroom (advanced) – Thursday 23rd March 10.30 – 12.30
The numbers are likely to be limited to 15 in each session, but if the sessions are popular then further courses could be put on later on in the year”.
