Alan Key & Walk Leader Changes

We have very recently received a message from one of our regular walk leaders – Alan Key. Please see below for the message details.

“Following recent problems with my leg or ankle I went to the local hospital to have it checked. After an X ray they diagnosed the problem — a broken screw! 10 years ago I broke my ankle and they used a metal plate screwed into the bone which they left in place after the operation. It appears that one of the screws joining two bones has broken, not at the joint, but inside one of the bones, and movement is causing pain. An appointment is being arranged with a specialist and I will let you know progress. As it stands I will be out of action for some time.”

I am sure that all members wish Alan a speedy recovery in the hope that he will be back walking with us again soon.
As a result of Alan’s problem there are some walk leader changes and these are shown below:
The annual walk at Tatton park on Wednesday, December 17th will now be led by Les Stockton.
The “harder” walk on Sunday, December 28th “Marple & Werneth Low” will now be led by Phil Worsley.
Thank You.
