The Club’s Health and Safety Policy is, through the Management Committee, to:-
- Produce a document (entitled Guidelines for Members Taking Part in Club Walks) setting out:-
- The main responsibilities of Club Members and their guests for their own health and safety whilst out walking with the Club.
- The limited responsibility of walk leaders for members whilst out walking with the Club.
- Basic guidance on how best to deal with the more likely hazards that may be encountered whilst out walking.
- Guidance on the minimum requirements for those who walk with the Club.
- As far as is practicable, provide each address of a Club member with a copy of the document.
- As far as is practicable, ensure all Club members are made aware of the need to familiarise themselves with the document and any updates.
- Regularly review and, if necessary, update the document.
- Regularly review and, if necessary, update this policy.
